We hope you have had a nice winter and have successfully stayed warm and dry. To liven up the winter, we have two events lined up:

San Francisco: British Movie Screening, Port Tasting with Filmmaker

Join us this Friday, February 17 @ 4:30pm at the Vogue Theatre (3290 Sacramento) for a very special event.  The Mostly British Film Festival will be hosting a port tasting, immediately followed by a screening of "A Year In Port."  The filmmaker will be joining in the tasting and speaking about the wine industry and his film.  Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office.

San Francisco: Discussion with Distinguished Alum

On Thursday, March 2nd @ 6:00pm at the offices of Lieff Cabraser (275 Battery, 29th floor), we will have the honor to host the current President of the San Francisco Federal Reserve, John C. Williams (LSE alumnus).  Mr. Williams will give a warm and candid talk to LSE alumni about how courses taught at the LSE shaped his approach as a policymaker at the Federal Reserve.  An informal  reception will follow.  Space is limited, however, so please register ASAP on aflse.org.
