Role of an Analyst (Client Management) at Pacific Global Advisors

As an Analyst at PGA, you will gain a broad exposure to many aspects of finance and capital markets. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:  Support the senior client relationship manager with existing clients, helping prepare client

materials, participate in client meetings, create customized financial analysis, etc.  Assist the senior client relationship manager in sourcing new clients, helping identify new clients,

analyze their financial statements to understand impact of pension obligations on corporate

financial health, manage client database, etc.  Additionally, PGA provides a broad exposure to various aspects of corporate finance, asset

management and capital markets

Executive Vice President, ArtInfo
The Executive Vice President, Global Head of Sales will direct sales efforts worldwide across all Louise Blouin Media (LBM) product lines including ARTINFO websites,
Art+Auction, ModernPainters, Gallery Guide magazines and the Blouin Art Sales Index database of auction records. The EVP is responsible for all aspects of company-wide sales performance, sales team compensation and sales team development.
The EVP should have deep experience with print advertising and online ad sales. Experience at major web portals strongly preferred. TheEVP will own his or her own accounts and manage a growing global sales team. The position is based in New York City.
The top priority for the EVP is to develop sales across the worldwide ARTINFO sites (currently produced in English, French and Chinese) as well as the global print properties in the following product lines:
  • Display advertising
  • Site, content and mobile app sponsorship
  • Microsites (for galleries, auction houses, performing arts venues, etc.)
  • Sponsored newsletters
  • Classified advertising
  • Individual and enterprise-level subscriptions to the Blouin Art Sales Index

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Ideal candidate will have 20+ years sales experience, with 5+ years of selling online advertising to agencies, brands and institutions
  • Experience selling for global online properties, or a network of specialized sites
  • Experience selling to emerging and niche brands
  • Deep contacts in the arts, culture, luxury and/or travel industries
  • Familiarity with all forms of online advertising, including mobile devices
  • BA degree
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to structure, recruit, direct and motivate a worldwide salesforce
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to work within a team and facilitate communication among several departments

Private Equity Sr. Associate or Vice President
An investment firm in the internet/media/e-commerce space with deep experience in content and platform development is searching for a Private Equity Sr. Associate or Vice President to research, negotiate and close equity investments and acquisitions in the US and abroad. The holding company is looking to acquire stakes in content producers, portals and e-commerce businesses, particularly in the art/culture, travel, fashion retail and classified listings spaces (B2B and C2C).

The successful candidate should have 3+ years of post-MBA experience at a leading private equity fund, venture capital fund or investment bank. Experience in the media, internet and e-commerce sectors strongly is preferred. Excellent undergraduate and MBA credentials required, with an CPA or Series 79 a plus. French and other foreign language skills are plus as well.

The position is based in New York.

Job Description

  • Conduct research and diligence on the internet media space, specifically content producers, e-commerce sites and B2B/C2C sites
  • Prepare valuation analysis, presentations and offer terms for targets
  • Quantify synergies and preparing projections for holding company financial performance following investment or acquisition

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of PE, VC, I-banking or financial consulting experience, with 3+ years post-MBA years
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and company valuation
  • Experience valuing Internet companies in the content, e-commerce and B2B/C2C marketplaces spaces
  • Outstanding academic record with an undergraduate and MBA degree from very selective university
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be proactive on projects, demonstrate initiative and possess the ability to multi-task
  • Must be highly motivated, performance driven, self-disciplined, autonomous and capable to deliver with minimal supervision
  • Series 79 and CPA is a plus
  • Fluency in French and other foreign languages is a plus
