Happy new year from the AFLSE DC chapter! We hope to see you at one of LSE or our affiliate groups events this month:
The DC chapter happy hour will be held as usual on the third Wednesday of the month at Vapiano in Dupont Circle. Whether you are a regular at these events or are thinking about attending for the first time, we hope you will join us for a fun way to meet other DC area alumni and their friends. Details:

LSE alumni have been invited by the Edinburgh University Club of DC for a traditional Burns night dinner and ceilidh on Saturday January 29th. The evening will commence with a cocktail hour from 6:00 until 7:00pm, followed by the piping in of the haggis. A three course dinner with wine (and whisky!) will be served, and after dinner there will be a ceilidh (don't worry if you don't know the dances, there will be instruction!). Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by The Devils Tailors. During the course of the evening there will be the traditional speeches and toasts. Details:

Tickets are $85 per person if purchased before January 7th, and $95 thereafter. Or you to purchase a table for you and your friends (up to 8 guests total) for $650.
