AFLSE Washington DC December Events

The DC chapter of the AFLSE has two exciting events coming up in December:
This Wednesday, December 1st the AFLSE will be hosting Dr. Daniela Gressani for the next AFLSE speakers series event. Dr. Gressani, Deputy to the Director General of the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank Group will be discussing "The World Bank Group's role during the Global Crisis". The World Bank Group has played a strong countercyclical role in emerging and developing countries during the global crisis. The discussion will cover what happened to developing countries, how the World Bank Group responded, what worked well and less well in the response, and questions about sustainability. An advance RSVP is required and must be received by noon on November 30th - all attendee's full names, including guests, must be provided for building access. Details:

On December 11th AFLSE will host our annual Holiday Party at Napoleon Lounge. This event has been very popular in previous years, providing a great opportunity for alumni to meet each other and our friends and celebrate the year. Details:
December 11th from 5:30 - 8:30pm at the Downstairs Lounge at the LSE alum owned bar Bistro Napoleon, located at 1847 Columbia Road, Washington DC
An open bar with Wine, Beer, and rail drinks will be provided. Food will be available for purchase.
Cost: $25 per person for AFLSE members and their guests. $35 per person all others.
