AFLSE DC October Newsletter - 3 events

The AFLSE DC chapter has several exciting events lined up for October.

 

Firstly, the British-American Business Association (BABA) invites LSE alumni and friends to a kick-off event designed especially for Young Professionals at the British Embassy: 

Thursday, October 14, 2010, 6:00 – 8:30pm

The British-American Business Association (BABA) enables its members to develop business contacts and promote trade and investment between the US and the UK. This event is complimentary (with cash bar provided) but space is limited and guests must register online at www.babawashington.org or by email to pkarhuse@babawashington.org. Please note AFLSE DC on your reservation. Guests should enter the Embassy through the main gatehouse, located on Observatory Circle near the corner with Massachusetts Avenue. If the gatehouse is unmanned, follow the posted instructions and press the call button to call security at the front desk, who will buzz you in. Guests should proceed to the first entrance into the building, which is reception. From there, Bar 3100 is located to the immediate left. Please remember to bring a photo ID. 

 

Second, the monthly AFLSE happy hour will be held on Tuesday (rather than customary Wednesday) this month. LSE alumni, recent grads, and future students are all welcome to attend. Details:

And finally, LSE alumni have been invited to attend The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) first Evening Seminar Series:

Tuesday, 10/19/10 at 9:00pm

LSE alumni, recent grads, future students, and friends are all welcome to the DC Chapter's monthly happy hour.

This monthly event will be held on Tuesday, rather than the customary Wednesday, this month only.
