AFLSE National Newsletter for June, 2010
Dear Reader,
The AFLSE Scholarship Committee is delighted to announce that this year's AFLSE scholar will be Samantha Parsons. You can learn about Samantha in the article below.
We are just about to launch our 2010 AFLSE survey to members and non-members alike. We would very much appreciate responses from as many alumni as possible. You will see the survey in your e-mail box in the next few days.
Please be sure to sign up now for the reception for the LSE Director, Sir Howard Davies, on Wednesday, July 21st in Washington, DC. Tickets (for current AFLSE members) have been selling well and there are only a limited number of spaces available.
Meanwhile, the AFLSE has a full schedule of events in June all around the country. There are a number of outdoor events including harbor cruises in New York and Washington, DC and a racetrack event in Chicago. Philadelphia is gathering to watch the England/USA World Cup match. There is another lecture in the speaker's series in Washington, DC. On the cultural side, NY GOLD is scheduled to visit the Metropolitan Museum. Add this list the happy hours in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, San Diego and Washington, DC and you have a very full calendar for the month.
Please visit our interactive web groups at Facebook and Linked-in with details available below in this newsletter.
Please take a look at some information about Liberty Mutual's relationship with AFLSE designed to save our members money on auto, home, and renter's insurance and support the AFLSE.
See below for details of all the items mentioned, and LOGIN to http://www.aflse.org for information on the many chapter "happy hours" and news of other events as they are posted.
