There are several upcoming AFLSE DC events in June and July:
On Wednesday, June 2nd,from 6:30 until 8:00pm, the AFLSE D.C. chapter will host LSE alumni speaker William G. Gale, Senior Fellow in Economic Policy at the Brookings Institution. Mr. Gale will speak on The Federal Budget Debacle and options for fiscal policy. A wine/cheese reception will follow the lecture. This event is free for members and registration is available online at here: http://www.aflse.org/store.html?event_id=1289
On Friday, June 25th, LSE alumni as well as alumni from other British Universities are invited on a private cruise on the Potomac River. The two hour cruise, leaving at 7:00 will allow attendees to enjoy some of DC's best sites from a different view passing by Monuments, the Kennedy Center, Reagan National Airport and Nationals Baseball Stadium. Complimentary light appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available on board. $30 per person attending, tickets available online here: http://www.aflse.org/store.html?event_id=1252
The AFLSE DC Monthly happy hour will take place as usual on the third Wednesday of the month, June 16th, from 6:00 - 9:00pm at Vapiano in Dupont Circle.
Tickets are also available for the Reception in Honor of Sir Howard Davies, Director of the LSE. The reception will be held on July 21st in the British Embassy Rotunda from 6:00 – 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 for AFLSE members, available online here http://www.aflse.org/store.html?event_id=1268
