AFLSE DC Events

Dear Reader,

The AFLSE DC chapter has several upcoming events:

We will be holding the monthly DC chapter LSE alumni & friends happy hour next week:
Date: Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 from 6:00-9:00pm
Location: Vapiano - Dupont Circle, 1800 M Street NW

We have space reserved in the back--look for the red LSE signs. RSVP is not necessary for this event.

   .

Also, as mentioned in last month’s newsletter, the DC AFLSE chapter will be sending a team of volunteers to participate in the Hands On DC Work-a-Thon. The deadline to register for this event is April 25th, a week from this Sunday. Members may sign up to be part of the AFLSE team by going to https://www.kintera.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=340456&lis=1&kntae340456=D7668AA9AE8E497DA87FE0F4372DAE85&supId=247538446&team=3688598 and selecting "Join our Team". Friends and family are welcome to participate. This will be a fun opportunity to volunteer with others from across D.C., spending the morning of Saturday, May 15th  in a DC public school working on basic improvement projects such as painting, cleaning, landscaping, and special projects like rehabilitating playgrounds.

    .

Several other events will take place later this spring/summer including the annual Potomac boat cruise on June 25th, an AFLSE GOLD (graduates of the last decade) event, a reception with Howard Davies, and annual Bon Voyage party for accepted students.

    .

Questions about upcoming events should be directed to Anne Wingate at aawingate@gmail.com.
