On February 3, alumni in Washington DC are invited to a Status Report on Haiti, with the Haitian Ambassador, and for New Yorkers there is an invitation to attend a recital of Italian music at Carnegie Hall, with discounted tickets for AFLSE members. A Family Friendly Chess Tournament will be held in Los Angeles on February 29, and in addition there are "happy hour" mixers in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, DC (see below).
