November AFLSE newsletter
Dear Reader,
This month's drinks mixer will be at 7pm on Thursday November 19 at Barbarella's in Silverlake. Please see aflse.org for more details. Thank you to alum Matt Rosenberg for arranging this mixer. We look forward to seeing you all there. This is a free event, as ever. Just pay for your own drinks. It's a great chance to network or find support within the group. We are all ages and very friendly, so please join us.
The holiday season is about to swing into action. We are attempting to put on a spectacular event for you. We have the possibility of a holiday party at the British Consul General's residence, in conjunction with the London Business School alums. This can only become a reality if we can find corporate sponsors. Please consider this great opportunity for your business or employer. Please contact Mansi and Elizabeth at la@aflse.org if you can help out.
On the Saturday before Christmas, your co-chair Elizabeth will again invite all alums with children in their lives to attend the Santa brunch party at her home in the Hollywood Hills. Save the date.
Heading into the new year, we will again have a second family-oriented holiday event - the annual Panto at the Mayflower Club in North Hollywood. Several alums met up there last year and had a great time. A truly British occasion with overstewed tea and eccles cakes served during intermission and lots of pictures on the walls of the Queen, circa 1972, smiling.
We look forward to seeing you in the coming months. Who knows a great bar for our next drinks mixer? Please let us know.
With our thanks to you, this Thanksgiving season, for being such a great group.
Best wishes,
Mansi and Elizabeth, Co-Chairs, AFLSE/LA
