Several lectures and meetings of interest are scheduled for October. In New York City, a forum on Asset Allocation takes place on October 5; in Los Angeles on October 7 there will be a discussion on Private Equity and Venture Capital; Miami alums are invited to a breakfast meeting with the British Consul General on October 13, the topic being Changing the Face of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office; in Boston on October 15, a lecture and dinner featuring Dr Tim Leunig on the topic of Inflation; also on October 15, Professor Nikolas Rose will give a lecture in New York City on Biopolitics in the Age of Biological Control, and Seattle alums are invited to tour the Microsoft Center for Information Work on October 22 (see details below).
Social mixers/happy hours are also planned for San Francisco, New York, Washington, DC and Los Angeles - but the monthly event in Boston has been cancelled. LOGIN to http://www.aflse.org to check on the details of these and other events as they are posted.
Chapter Leaders and Board Members should note that the AFLSE Board Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 - details to be circulated.
