Dear Reader,

Welcome back from summer.  AFLSE has a full set of programs planned by many of the major chapters as well as an eminent LSE professor speaking in New York this month.  

AFLSE won its Challenge Grant from the LSE by encouraging a meaningful increase in the LSE annual fund giving from the United States.  This will result in the first major support from the LSE to the AFLSE for the benefit of chapter events and national infrastructure.  Thank you for your support.

Have you been frustrated by recruiters and potential employers that have only a vague knowledge of LSE’s global reputation? On the events front, we are excited to have Professor Frank Cowell speak to a New York audience on September 14th.  In addition to happy hours in New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles and Philadelphia this month, there is one last Bon Voyage event in Downstate Illinois. Details on all these events are provided below.
