AFLSE Los Angeles: Consul General Event & Bon Voyage Party
Dear Reader,
We are pleased to invite you to a special event on July 30, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in Westwood! We will be hosting a presentation and discussion by Consul Generals from around the world. So far we have commitments from Lebanon, Turkey, Germany and South Africa. The discussion will focus on International Reactions to the Obama Revolution. There will be a wine and cheese reception prior to the presentation so that you can mingle with the other guests and the consul generals. This event was sold out but we were able to secure seating for 3 additional members so please get your tickets immediately to reserve your place! Tickets are only $35 for AFLSE members and $45 for all others. We look forward to seeing you there!
In addition, our annual Bon Voyage party is Saturday, August 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. This is a chance for the alumni to relive our LSE days and share stories and advice with the outgoing students. For the outbound students, this is a great chance ask any questions that you have before you go and meet other LA area students who are off to LSE. Alumni Seth Weisberg has kindly agreed to host us and the outgoing LSE students and their families at his home in Brentwood! Tickets are $15 for AFLSE members and $20 for non-members. We hope to see you there!
Starting on September 16 we are back to our Third Thursday mixers so please mark your calendars and we will follow up with details closer to the date.
Cheers,
Mansi Shah & Elizabeth Botsford
