AFLSE San Francisco newsletter - July Bon Voyage and August Event

Summer is squarely upon us.
A big "thank you" to all of you who made it out to Marin for the cricket event on July 12! Combined with the Bay Area alumni from Imperial College, we were 27 people in total. It was a lovely day to be out in the park, and watching a proper game of cricket (yes, they all wore white) while eating strawberries and cream made it all the lovelier.
Our annual Bon Voyage party will be held on July 22 this year. This send-off of the newly-admitted students to the LSE will take place at Jillian's in San Francisco's Metreon Center. The downtown location is very convenient to BART, Muni and CalTrain, so please join us in an evening of fun and food. While the party is free for newly-admitted students, the cost for alumni is $5 and for non-affiliated friends it is $10. We ask that you register on the www.aflse.org site; if there is a problem with registration, someone will be at the door of Jillian's to register you.
Lastly, our August drinks social is scheduled for August 3 at the Americano Bar. Please feel free to join us for an informal drink, from 6:30pm onwards. No RSVP is necessary.
