AFLSE Spring Events and News

Dear Reader,

Sir Howard Davies has accepted a second term of office and will continue as LSE Director until 2013.  In accepting the offer of reappointment, made by the LSE Council on March 6, 2007, he stated that in comparison with many other British universities, LSE is in a strong position but there is a lot more to do, "I enjoy the job, like the people and am proud to be associated with such a great institution".  Lord Grabiner, Chairman of Council said:  "Since joining the LSE in October 2003, Howard Davies has brought significant intellectual, financial and managerial skills to the role, which is exactly what we require".  For this and other news items, go to http://www.aflse.org and click on the NEWS link.
