New York AFLSE - Philharmonic in the Park (July 14th) and Bon Voyage Party (August 6th)
Dear Reader,
Happy 4th of July! Despite the less than summer like weather, we hope everyone is getting a chance to enjoy the holiday. For those of you around the city this summer, we have some exciting events lined up. On July 14th, we will be going to see the New York Philharmonic play in Central Park. It is a nice relaxing evening to enjoy some music and catch-up with your LSE Friends, we hope you will be able to join us. Then in August we are hosting the annual Bon Voyage party to help send off the new LSE students, this is great chance to help mentor new students and share your LSE wisdom with them. Come down and help us send them off for their exciting year at the LSE. For more details and to sign up see the event listing below. Don't forget in July we will still be hosting the Third Thursday Happy Hour downtown and First Mondays uptown. My friend has a room available in her newly constructed two bedroom apt. She is the executive director of an education non profit organization and works long hours. The apt is well kept and still has that new car smell. There are two bathrooms, the living room and kitchen are fully furnished, and there is a washer and dryer inside the apt. The neighborhood is fantastic – in the heart of all the liveliness of Brooklyn. It's on the corner of Atlantic and 4th Ave, a few steps away from the Atlantic/Pacific stop. Almost every express train runs through this subway hub -- the B/D, 4/5, 2/3, N/R, making a commute into the city extremely easy. It's a great opportunity for the right person. The room is being rented for $1,600. She is looking for an affable and neat roommate to share a special apt.
