Lecture Title: Venture Capital and the Coming Global Energy, Green, and Jobs Revolution.

Location: Mortara Center for International Studies located at 1248 36th Street, NW Washington, DC, the corner of 36th and N Streets. The event is being held in the conference room on the main floor (it can been seen as you enter through the main door).

The event is co-sponsored by the Mortara Center at Georgetown University.

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 at 6:30pm to last until 8:00pm

A wine and cheese reception will follow the lecture.

Lecture Summary:
Today the American and world economies are trapped in a war of the worlds between old world banking that has created the crisis of our times, government that lags behind events, and new economy financing from venture capital, private equity, and those Wall Street firms that finance the great technology and job waves in green business, new energy, advanced medical breakthroughs, electric battery cars, water purification and other new industry that will define and dominate the near and long term global economic future.

Brief Bio:
Brent Budowsky is a columnist for The Hill newspaper, informal advisor to senior Democrats, and business consultant to senior managment on strategic planning, marketing and public affairs. Clients have ranged from Frank Sinatra and Vatican Radio to companies involved in financial and technology sectors. Formerly worked for then-Senator and later Treasury Secretary Lloyd Bentsen and the House Democratic Leadership. Received B.A. degree from George Washington University, J.D. from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University (with participation in the law program of St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University), and an LL.M. Degree from the London School of Economics.
