On Saturday May 30 at 6pm we have arranged for alums to attend a reception at the residence of the Japanese Consul General in Hancock Park. We are most grateful to Tomoko Iwakawa for arranging for us to be Consul Ihara's guests for this fabulous event. If you would like to attend, please be certain to RSVP to us ASAP. We need your name, job title and home address for security check purposes - which takes some time. This is the Japanese consulate's requirement and it means, no last minute RSVPs. Also, places are limited - first come, first served. We will have a q and a session with the consul general, so come armed with your question (submit in advance if possible).

JUNE EVENTS
Another Orange County drinks mixer is being planned. The previous OC mixer was a great event which all our guests enjoyed. So please attend and meet your fellow OC alums. Details will be spirited to you as they emerge.
JULY EVENTS
SAVE THE DATE - the evening of July 30 will see us at Northern Trust in Westwood with a panel of consuls discussing international responses to the Obama Revolution. We are really looking forward to this event, which is being organised in conjunction with the International Visitors Bureau of Los Angeles. A wine and cheese reception is included in the ticket price. Again, watch this space as details are finalised.
AUGUST EVENTS
The Bon Voyage party for our next intake of LSE students and their parents will take place on a balmy night in August. Please come to give them a good send off. Details TBA.
We look forward to seeing you at these events. Please RSVP to us so that we know to look out for you.
Mansi and Elizabeth wish you a superb May. We are aware of the crashing economy and the effect on everyone's mood - this is particularly the time to reach out to your alum group for mutual support. Please think of what events you would like our group to arrange and join us in putting on events that are relevant to you.
Warmest regards to all,
Mansi and Elizabeth
