AFLSE San Francisco newsletter - Another February Event, just confirmed!
Dear Reader,
Hi there!
We just confirmed another event for February!!!
In conjunction with Cargenie Mellon University, we are pleased to present Mr. Laurance Narbut, Portfolio Manager at Passport Capital, who will be speaking on "Hedge Funds and the State of the Economy" on February 4th.
Do you know why the economy is in such a bad state? Are you wondering why Wall Street is in trouble? Do you wonder why it's important to you? Are your savings and retirement plans taking a hit?
If you would like to ask a couple of questions regarding the economy and would like to do so in a relaxed environment, this is a chance to meet a seasoned investor who follows the market and picks investment instruments for a living. Mr. Narbut will give a one-hour talk and field questions for another half hour.
Mr. Narbut co-manages the investment management process for the energy sector. He received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School and a BA in Regional Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In April 2008, Barron's ranked Passport Capital's Passport II Global as the best in the World's 75 Best Hedge Funds list, based on three-year annualized returns. Passport Capital manages more than $2.5 billion in assets and is based in San Francisco.
