AFLSE Summer Events including Bon Voyage Parties

Dear Reader,

A series of events has been organized across the country for July and August. Primary among these are Bon Voyage Parties in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington, DC (see below). Chapter leaders have worked hard to organize these events, and all alumni are encouraged to come and offer advice and support to new students off to share your experience of living and studying in London.

First on the list is a garden party in Washington, DC, at the home of alumna Joy Dunkerley, on July 22. PLEASE RSVP as soon as possible to the invitation to this and other events - in particular the Los Angeles reception at the residence of HM Consul General, for which the sign-up deadline is July 31.

	Washington, DC: Bon Voyage Afternoon for New LSE Students Saturday, 07/22/06 at 7:00pm All bachelor's, master's, Ph.D., and general course students and their parents are welcome, and of course LSE alumni and friends are duly encouraged to attend.

	Boston: Bon Voyage Reception Friday, 07/28/06 at 9:00pm Please join your fellow LSE Alumni at a Bon Voyage Reception to meet and greet new students before they travel to London. A chance for you to share your experiences of living and studying in London and for students to meet and network with each other.

	Chicago: Bon Voyage Party Thursday, 08/3/06 at 9:00pm Share your own experiences and advice, and help make the transition easier for our future alumni.

	New York City: Bon Voyage Evening for New LSE Students Thursday, 08/10/06 at 9:00pm Remember how excited you were as you prepared to embark for the LSE? Share those memories and your advice with our new batch of New York area students headed for London.

	Los Angeles: Bon Voyage Reception Wednesday, 08/16/06 at 9:00pm The event will be held at the home of Her Majesty’s British Consul-General, Robert N. Peirce.

	Denver: Bon Voyage Party Sunday, 08/20/06 at 8:00pm Please join Denver chapter alumni and friends for our end of summer party where we plan to say "Bon Voyage!" to departing LSE students, meet and socialize with Colorado alumni and welcome prospective LSE students from local schools and universities.
