AFLSE: Upcoming Events in Los Angeles

Dear Reader,

Our annual Bon Voyage Party was a huge success last month!  We want to thank those of you were able to attend and offer insights, advice and stories about the LSE to the new students!  For those who weren't able to attend last month, we have some very exciting events coming up where you can reconnect with fellow LSE alums.

On September 20th, LSE alums are invited to join alumni from other prestigious universities for The Ivy Plus Society's Back to School event at Kress in Hollywood.  This is a great opportunity to meet new friends while sipping a cocktail at the trendy rooftop bar.  Please keep in mind that these events tend to sell out so be sure and get your tickets early so you don't miss out on the fun!

October 2nd is jam-packed with exciting events!  First, LSE alums are invited to join members of the British American Business Council at a breakfast with Sir Nigel Sheinwald, KCMG, British Ambassador to the US.  This is a unique opportunity for those interested in learning more about foreign policy and relations and AFLSE members are able to attend at the BABC member price!

Then at 7 p.m. on October 2nd, please join us for the first pub night hosted by your new Chapter Leaders!  LSE alums are gathering at the Village Idiot on Melrose to meet and mingle over some pints and pub grub so be sure to mark the date on your calendars!  We look forward to meeting each and every one of you and hearing your ideas and suggestions about future events that the chapter should host.

For those who can't make it out to Hollywood, there is another fantastic event in Santa Ana.  Please join alumni from Harvard Business School and Wharton Business School for a private viewing of the Terra Cotta Warriors Exhibit at the Bowers Museum.  This is a great opportunity to learn about China's first emperor, while also networking and mingling at a reception before the presentation.

We hope to see as many of our members as possible at these events and please contact us with any questions!

Cheers,

Mansi & Elizabeth
