Here are a few items to consider before you leave for London:

CONFIRM YOUR FLIGHT TO LONDON IN ADVANCE Some flights from the United States to London Heathrow have been canceled recently due to economic reasons, such as flights leaving from New York City on Air India. As your day of departure approaches, be sure to confirm your status with the airline.

ARRANGE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT BEFORE LEAVING ARRIVING IN LONDON

Some Banks in England require proof of address in the UK before opening an account. This can be difficult for some students to arrange quickly. AFLSE has made an arrangement with Lloyds TSB to allow for account opening documentation to be started before leaving the US.
