AFLSE San Francisco - Bon Voyage Party this Thursday!
Dear Reader,
August is shaping up to be a busy month! This is a quick reminder about the events taking place in the next few weeks.
There will be NO FIRST MONDAY in August (i.e., today). Because of the Bon Voyage party scheduled for Thursday, August 7th, we will be combining these two events this month. The First Monday drinks social will resume on September 8th (the first viable Monday, as September 1st is the Labor Day holiday). Join us for a relaxing drink, see old friends and make new acquaintances. No registration is required, and this event is open to all.
The 2008 Bon Voyage party is on this Thursday, August 7th. It will be held again at Winston's Bar (in the King George Hotel) on 334 Mason St. in downtown San Francisco. Judging from last year's well-attended event, many new students had the opportunity to meet each other and get valuable advice from the alumni before setting off on their journeys to London. Please join us this Thursday (by registering through the AFLSE website) for a fun-filled evening in a traditional pub setting!
Professor Ian Angell will be joining us on August 14th at the City Club of San Francisco. He will argue that business schools are currently creating methodical (and neurotic) managers. Again, registration for this event is through the AFLSE website. Please join us in welcoming Professor Angell to the Bay Area and hearing his insightful thoughts on this most interesting issue.
Cheers,
Augi, Bianca and Mauricio
