Boston Chapter April Newsletter
Dear Reader,
We had such a good time at the first Leadership Luncheon last month, that it's tempting to just repeat it. April Fool! Although I'm sure we won't be able to resist reflecting on past glories we do have a smashing speaker planned for Wednesday, 2 April.
C. Bernard Fulp (Bernie to his friends) is a well-known banker and business consultant. After gaining extensive experience in national and regional banks, where he focused on the financial needs of small and medium-size enterprises, he established, then sold, his own community bank. Rather than resting on his laurels, he started a new career in high tech. Having worked so long with start-ups (you do NOT want to miss his not-so-shaggy dog story!) and SMEs, he realized that to satisfy their need to grow and prosper, they needed entry-level tools. Hence GoBiz Solutions! As if this isn't enough, Bernie has already taken GoBiz Global, with a major deal in Mexico. At this Leadership Luncheon, Bernie will talk about the opportunities and challenges of managing a start-up that is already international and bilingual. Those who attended the last luncheon will also appreciate another of the many hats he wears: Governor Patrick recently appointed him to the Board of Higher Education. You can read about the meeting and volunteer opportunities at the end of this note.
Please register for this event online to guarantee both space, and the lowest price.
Waste no time in signing up for our very special Reception at the British Consulate on Tuesday, 8 April where you will meet the newly appointed Consul General, Dr. Phillip Budden.
And BRING YOUR DARTS to the Times Irish Pub for our Third Thursday networking event on Thursday, 17 April. We didn't have a pub quiz in March, but brace yourself to be Royally quizzed this month.
If you have any questions, sugggestions, etc. please email us at any time boston@aflse.org
I look forward to seeing you all soon, one way or another!
Best regards,
Anna Sabasteanski
