Not For Profit/NGO April Newsletter
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the Not for Profit/NGO SIG!
We are very pleased with the results of our launch event in Boston. But this is not just a Boston group!
To make it easy for members living in other locations, we have launched a Discussion Board. To get to it:
1. Go to www.aflse.org
2. Under the Networking tab at the top of the window, select Discussion Groups
3. Pat yourself on the back for being in the FIRST of the AFLSE SIGs to launch a Discussion Group
4. Read, respond and create new posts!
We hope that this will be a first step in building the AFLSE Not For Profit/NGO Community.
A second initiative to build this community is through this Newsletter. We can publicize (brief!) notices of your local events to the larger group. After all, you never know who might be in the neighborhood! Send the details to notforprofit@aflse.org Following review, they will be listed in the next monthly Newsletter. Articles describing your events, particularly when they can list fellow alumni, are also welcome.
Folks in Boston should also watch for an announcement of local meetings that we plan to hold once a month.
We look forward to getting lots of other ideas from you! Send us a note any time.
Best regards,
Anna Sabasteanski (chair), James Constable (co-chair), Emily Silberstein (steering committee chair)
