[AFLSE DC] How Can Economics Professors Stop Failing Us?

Dear Reader,

Earlier this week, we asked you to save the dates for two upcoming alumni lectures. I'm happy to confirm details for both events below.

On Monday, March 12th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Steven Payson (MSc Economics '82) will discuss his latest book, How Economics Professors Can Stop Failing Us: The Discipline at a Crossroads.

His discussion of why economics has endured increased critiques in recent years will be followed by a Q&A and networking reception.

Book your ticket today

On Monday, April 9th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, we will host LSE Professor Tim Oliver to discuss the causes and consequences of Brexit. A Q&A and networking reception will follow his talk as well.

Reserve your spot

Finally, don't forget that on Friday, April 27th, we will visit the Kennedy Center for a joint performance between the Scottish Ensemble string orchestra and Andersson Dance, a Swedish contemporary dance company. Tickets are limited, so make sure to book yours no later than March 25th.

See you soon,

Lauren Maffeo
Chair, AFLSE DC
