[AFLSE DC] See You Tomorrow At Our 3rd Mondays Happy Hour

Dear Reader,

Happy President's Day weekend! If you haven't skipped town for some time away, we hope you can join AFLSE DC tomorrow night.

Our 3rd Mondays monthly happy hour will be held tomorrow from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at James Hoban's Irish Bar in Dupont Circle. As always, attendance is free and there's no need to RSVP.

We've got several more events in the works this spring. On Friday, April 27th, we will visit the Kennedy Center for a joint performance between the Scottish Ensemble string orchestra and Andersson Dance, a Swedish contemporary dance company. Tickets are limited, so make sure to book yours no later than March 25th.

Finally, please save the dates for two forthcoming alumni lectures.

On Monday, March 12th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, we will host alumnus Steven Payson to discuss his latest book, How Economics Professors Can Stop Failing Us: The Discipline at a Crossroads

And on Monday, April 9th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, we will host LSE Professor Tim Oliver to discuss the causes, consequences, and meaning of Brexit. Ticket and venue information will be shared shortly, so watch this space.

See you soon,

Lauren Maffeo
Chair, AFLSE DC
