San Francisco AFLSE Newsletter & Upcoming Events in May 2008

Greetings, and Happy Spring.
The panel discussion on "Anti-Americanism and Transatlantic Relations after January 2009" was a huge success! Many thanks to the 50+ alumni who turned out for the event on March 26. The faculty seemed to enjoy themselves, too.

Another big thank you goes out to Michael O'Leary for all of his help during the month of March. It was greatly appreciated, as I had my hands full with the birth of my new baby. Soon, I hope to introduce you to Sophia Phoebe Paleokrassas, the newest member of the LSE family.

Bianca Lansdown joins me as the new co-leader of the SF Chapter. She received her LLM from the LSE in 2005, focusing on corporate and commercial law. Currently, she works at Baker & McKenzie, in the Global Equities Services group. Bianca is very eager to coordinate many new and exciting events for this chapter, so don't hesitate to make suggestions!

Save the date: MAY 31, 2008.
The SF alumni of the LSE and LBS will again hold their annual Beach Bonfire and Picnic at Point Reyes. Bring food, blanket and burnables for an afternoon of good fun and networking. If the weather permits, there will also be mussel gathering! (see article below)
