AFLSE National Newsletter, February 2008

Dear Reader,

The AFLSE had a highly successful year, closing out 2007 with increased membership, an upgraded website, many chapter activities, including 11 "bon voyage" parties for new students, and the promise of more member services and benefits to come (see the President's Report, below).

February  offers monthly "happy hours" for alums in San Francisco and New York, and a get-together over afternoon tea for those in Washington, DC.  Also in DC, the distinguished Speaker Series continues with a talk by the Director of Homeland Security on February 26.

If you have not yet joined or renewed your AFLSE membership for 2007 be sure to LOGIN to http://www.aflse.org and review all the membership benefits.  Among these, is Affiliate Membership in the Princeton Club in New York City - an invaluable resource for many who live and work in the city and for those who travel there frequently on business (read more below).  Remember that the AFLSE relies entirely on membership dues to maintain and improve our website and bring you all the services and benefits that are increasingly available.
