LSE Houston Area Alumni and Friends are Invited to Monthly Pub Nights - First Wednesday Every Month
Dear Reader,
At LSE, do you remember having a great time with your friends at the pub? Do you remember the sense of belonging and feeling of community? We also have those fond memories of shared moments. The Houston LSE Alumni Chapter wants to recreate that atmosphere here in Houston. It may sound nostalgic. We all live far apart here, as Houston is spread out when compared to other metropolitan areas. Houston also has endless traffic. We know. We live here too! At LSE, we were close together and part of the same community. Here in Houston, I am sure you made your way across town a few times to go to something that was worthwhile. We are creating a monthly LSE British Pub meetup that we hope will be worthy of your time.
That being said, we understand meeting up with new people is not always exciting. The first experience at the Three Tuns pub was probably a little awkward. But after a few months people became great friends. By the end of the year at LSE, our pub friends would try to move heaven and earth for us if needed--and this after having known them for only those short 9 months!
Interested in creating a similar community of friends that we had at LSE here in Houston? Once a month we will be meeting up at the British pub, The Stag’s Head. We want to make this a monthly event. And, we want you to participate. Come join us for dinner, a beer and reminisce about your time at the LSE, talk about what’s going on with you these days and create a chance to make some great new friends!
If you have kids or a high pressure job, it may be difficult to attend and we understand. But,
it may also be just what the doctor ordered.
