*Reminder* LSE Scholar Speaking in Boulder - Tuesday, April 15th
Dear Reader,
A prominent LSE scholar is coming to University of Colorado Boulder to speak at the Journalism & Mass Communication program in Boulder. All LSE alumni and friends are invited.
The speaker is Nick Couldry, a professor of media, communications and social theory at the LSE. His talk is entitled “Reconstructing Journalism’s Public Rationale.”
Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at 5:00pm
Prof Couldry will discuss the need to build public understanding of journalism in the digital age. In an era when the public has unlimited sources of information and journalism’s revenues are plunging, he will argue that the industry must explain why its ethical standards and information-gathering techniques remain so essential.
