Richard E. Caruso, PhD is a successful serial entrepreneur, author, biotechnology pioneer, civic leader and founder of the Uncommon Individual Foundation, which helps individuals achieve their own personal visions. Dr. Caruso currently serves as chairman of Integra LifeSciences Corporation ("Integra"), which he founded in 1989. In 2006, Dr. Caruso was recognized as Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year, an award sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, for creating the field of regenerative medicine, through Integra LifeSciences.
