First AFLSE Houston Newsletter - Lunch with the LSE Director : drinks with new students
Dear Reader,
We are excited to announce two upcoming events for the Houston AFLSE chapter using the newly established Houston newsletter capability. If you are receiving this e-mail, it’s because our database indicated you live in the south Texas area. Please change your profile at www.aflse.org if this is not correct.
We hope that you will be able to attend our “bon voyage” party for departing students on August 20th at our habitual pub location, the Black Labrador
Please make a special note that the LSE director will be in Houston on September 13th and has accepted our invitation as guest of honor at lunch. He will give a short talk: “Brown’s Britain. How will it differ from Blair’s”. Please sign up on line below or at www.aflse.org for what promises to be a major event for LSE in Houston.
We hope to encourage lapsed and non members of AFLSE to become current members when you attend this event. You will note that we have discounted the ticket price by $10 for current AFLSE members. Membership can easily be purchased on line at www.aflse.org (membership tab of main menu) prior to purchasing a ticket.
We look forward to seeing you at one of both of these up coming events.
Regards,
The Houston AFLSE team
