For many, the holidays are a time of peace and joy. However, they can also be a time of great stress, especially for families who are living paycheck to paycheck. It can be heartbreaking to have to choose between food on the table or presents under the tree.

Britepaths, a Fairfax-based non-profit that serves families in need, is hosting its second annual Winter Wonderland event, inviting kids and parents to enjoy the holiday festivities while preparing them for the season ahead. AFLSE DC will volunteer for the second day of the two-day festival, helping wrap presents for kids, distribute grocery store gift cards, and assist with event setup. Bring a smile to a local family this holiday season and volunteer.

Attendance is capped at ten volunteers, so register soon! After the first ten people, everyone who registers will be placed on a wait list. There is no required contribution to volunteer. Please e-mail chapter leaders at washingtondc@aflse.org with questions.
