This is not your typical 3rd Monday: for November, the AFLSE D.C. is honored to welcome I.S. Berry, 1997 General Course student, for a discussion of her book The Peacock and the Sparrow, a spy thriller set amongst the backdrop of the Arab Spring. A former CIA officer, Berry draws from her experiences to write a rich, exciting novel which has drawn awards and accolades from The New Yorker, The Guardian, and other publications.

The event will start with a half hour of casual networking, then lead into a 60-minute moderated conversation inclusive of audience Q&A. Stacy Closson, 2007 PhD in International Relations, will moderate the discussion, coming with her own experiences working in the intelligence community.

There is no cost to attend this event, but registration is strongly encouraged. You can register for this event using the fields on the left-hand side of this page.
