For this year's LSE Global Day of Volunteering, the AFLSE Washington, D.C. will support the Arlington County Department of Parks and Recreation with their Feel the Heritage Festival, a joyful community event celebrating culture, history, and togetherness. Volunteers will assist with setting up for a variety of festival activities, including kids’ craft and art activities, supporting vendors, and assisting with general event setup.
We will be volunteering from 9am – 12pm. Registration is required and will be first come, first serve. We are limiting to 10 volunteers and will establish a waitlist if more than 10 volunteers register. The deadline to register is February 13, 2026.
Food will be provided for volunteers!
The alumni volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy the festival after the volunteering is completed. The festival will be from 12pm – 5pm. Additional details are available on the event page: https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/Parks-Recreation/Feel-the-Heritage-Festival
