Spring has sprung ... and the LA Chapter calendar is blooming with a variety of events for the next few months. Thursday, March 27 - LSE Professor Charlie Beckett discusses journalism and new media SAVE THE DATE for a lunchtime event with Professor Charlie Beckett, director of Polis, the LSE’s joint initiative with the London College of Communication aimed at working journalists, people in public life and students in the UK and around the world. POLIS is the place where journalists and the wider world can examine and discuss the media and its impact on society. Professor Beckett will be discussing his new book on new media and journalism.

Thursday, March 27 Ivy Plus Society Mixer at SEVEN in West Hollywood - 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Join the Ivy Plus Society, a networking group of graduates of Ivy League and prestigious universities including Oxford and Cambridge, at West Hollywood hotspot Seven.

Give chase to your favorite cardinal sin after passing through a narrow corridor lined with river rock. You’ll emerge in a design sanctuary of raw woods, candlelit lighting and stone accents. This revitalized former Belly spot draws a crowd of dapper Hollywood types mixed with artists, musicians and hipsters. Lounge on the leather benches, linger in the sunken booths, dance a bit in the main room, or flutter outside on one of the two patios.

Friday, April 25 – Breakfast with Lord Levene, Chairman, Lloyds of London

The British-American Business Council (BABC) invites the AFLSE’s LA Chapter to participate in its BritWeek Celebrations at a breakfast with Lord Peter Keith Levene, Chairman of Lloyds of London and former Lord Mayor of London from 1998 to 1999.
