Adam Tolnay (1994)

Adam obtained his M.A. from Harvard College, his M.A from Harvard University, and his M.Sc. from LSE in 1994. He is currently in the process of completing his Ph.D at Georgetown University.

Adam worked for McKinsey & Company, as a management consultant.

Adam is currently an academic and social entrepreneur who has built and run educational programs in 14 countries (see Learning Enterprises: www.learningenterprises.org , The Educated Consumer Project: www.ecponline.org , and The Reuters Digital Visions Program: www.rdvp.org ). His current social entrepreneurship project, Y-Fi (Youth Financial Literacy), aims to communicate the basics of personal financial management to youth in marginal areas via the use of fun, interactive, multi-player, multiple-turn simulation games delivered on mobile devices. Adam is currently a Reuters Digital Visions Fellow at Stanford working with inner city high school students in the U.S. to design and pilot Y-Fi before rolling it out in his native Romania and his adopted homeland, India.
