Gillian obtained a M.Sc. in European Studies from the LSE in 1988. After LSE, she moved to Switzerland, where she held several different positions in the environmental/sustainable development and policy making fields.
Gillian worked for International Federation of University Women, the United Nations International Labor Office, and the International Academy of the Environment.
She is currently working for Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) as the Director of Capacity Development.
