Richard Banta is a 1972 honors graduate of the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. He earned a Master of Laws degree in International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1982.
Richard is an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, and is listed in their Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in America. He has his own law practice, Richard J. Banta, P.C., located in Denver, Colorado.
As a sole practitioner, he practices both civil and criminal law. He has successfully represented clients charged with complex white-collar fraud and other business crimes. In addition, his practice areas include advising small businesses on compliance with both state and federal regulations and laws, setting up the appropriate legal entity for particular business transactions, and on related topics such as insurance and tax considerations.
