AFLSE Denver: Global Day of Vounteering
AFLSE Denver invites you to join us to support Clothes to Kids of Denver.
Join us for a private tour of the local nonprofit Clothes to Kids of Denver. There is no financial cost to participate in the tour, but we ask that you please bring a bag of clothing that you wish to donate to Clothes To Kids of Denver.
Clothes To Kids of Denver provides new and quality used clothing to students ages 3-21 from low-income or in-crisis families in the Denver Metro Area, free of charge. Women/Men/Adult clothing is greatly appreciated as many of the high school kids wear adult-sized clothing. It is helpful if you can label your donation by size/type.
Please visit their website for clothing donation guidelines: Clothes to Kids of Denver Donation Guidelines.
The evening will continue at the nearby Bull & Bush pub which is modeled after the original Bull & Bush pub located in Hampstead Heath near London that dates back to 1645. The pub owners spared no expense bringing back original artifacts and materials to give the restaurant an authentic feel which has been a Denver landmark for over 50 years right down to the now warped copper top bar that still holds up beers, food and regular patrons today!
We will provide light pub appetizers and will try to gather a group near the main bar area. We will attempt to facilitate carpooling for the 5-minute drive from the tour to the pub.
