You are invited to hear from Dr. Joshua Einhorn (LSE, '84) as he shares his coming out experience in a 1980s LSE, and his subsequent activism.

 

 Dr. Einhorn will talk about:

  • Founding the Johns Hopkins University Lesbian & Gay Alumnae/i Association (1987).
  • Being arrested for civil disobedience protesting non-inclusion of gays in the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade where NYC Mayor David Dinkins also marched in solidarity (1991).
  • His legal and social battle to adopt a 1-year-old baby from Guatemala (2000).
  • Persuading the Hare Krishna movement to bless same sex unions (2009).
  • And more!

A Thai meal will be served and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
