New York City: LSE Global Forum in New York City

Hosted by LSE Director, Professor Craig Calhoun who will confer an honorary degree upon Dr. Janet Yellen, Economist and Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

As part of LSE’s 120th anniversary celebrations, alumni around the globe are invited to reconnect with the School and each other. During the course of 2015-16, a series of regional LSE Global Forums will be celebrating the achievements of the School and our alumni.

Hosted by LSE Director, Professor Craig Calhoun, six LSE Global Forums will bring the School to your doorstep in the USA, UAE, China, Switzerland and Singapore.

This is your opportunity to learn about the latest developments on campus, meet leading LSE academics and discuss ground-breaking research as well as the issues that are shaping lives and societies on a global scale.

We are delighted to announce that the LSE Global Forum in New York City will feature the conferment of an honorary degree upon Dr Janet Yellen, Economist and Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

The programme will kick off at 4:00pm with the LSE Faculty Forum and Q&A with Director Prof Craig Calhoun; to be followed by drinks and networking from 6:00pm; before the Director’s official welcome and address and the conferment of an honorary doctorate upon Dr Janet Yellen from 7:00pm. Tickets for the LSE Global Forum are £30 per person and Registration is essential.
