Remember to support the LSE Centennial Fund!

The Chairman of the LSE Centennial Fund asks for your support. If you make your gift before the July 31 deadline you can help make this a record year.

Studying for my master’s at LSE was a special period in my life. I cherished the opportunity to pursue my further education while simultaneously experiencing life in one of the world’s great cities. I hope you share similarly fond memories of your time at LSE.

Although we are now thousands of miles from London, I value greatly the connection we retain with the School and one another through the AFLSE and our alumni chapters in the USA.

As chair of the LSE Centennial Fund, I am also immensely proud of the role we play in contributing to the success of the Annual Fund and the wide range of projects it supports across LSE. By doing so we enhance students’ experiences and the reputation of the School as a whole. So far in the 2013/14 financial year, donors in the USA have made gifts totaling more than $385,000 – and if we can surpass $400,000 it will be a record contribution from the alumni community through the Centennial Fund.

Please join me in making a gift this financial year, which ends on July 31. We will be supporting our School and investing in the future of a world class institution.

PS: I read Professor Conor Gearty’s recent letter to alumni in the USA and it reminded me again of the teaching and research excellence for which LSE is renowned – and why it is important to maintain such high standards now and in the future. You can read Conor's full letter here.
