Who is this event for? Who needs networking? This event is for anyone who wants to build a strong professional network and continue developing their career. While networking is tremendously helpful to alumni in transition, the most successful networking is an ongoing effort undertaken long before the need is urgent. All alumni who want foster career connections, establish contacts within an industry or organization, further their current career goals or inform a future career decision are encouraged to attend.

Moderator: Bruce Tuchman (MSc 1993 International Relations)
President, AMC/Sundance Channel Global Networks
Bruce Tuchman is the president, AMC/Sundance Channel Global, AMC Networks’ international division. As a member of the company’s senior team, Tuchman leads the strategic expansion of the company’s global business, including the distribution, programming and marketing of SundanceTV, currently distributed in Europe, Canada and Asia, and WE tv, currently distributed in Asia. He was appointed to his current position in 2011.
Prior to joining AMC Networks, Tuchman served as President of MGM Worldwide Networks, a division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc. where he developed and managed MGM’s global interests in cable, satellite and other television networks. Under his leadership, the division experienced explosive growth; MGM launched channels for the first time across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, while growing its existing channel businesses across Latin America and Asia.
Tuchman joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from MTV Networks, where he held the position of General Manager of Nickelodeon Global Network Ventures and Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon New Media Ventures. As General Manager of Nickelodeon Global Network Ventures, he developed and oversaw branded Nickelodeon channels across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and Africa. Before joining Nickelodeon, Tuchman served as Vice President, Business Affairs and Senior Counsel, International Development for MTV Network and he was formally an M&A attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York and London. Jason Barnett (General Course 1989)
Vice Chairman and General Counsel, RXR Realty LLC
Jason Barnett is one of the founding managing partners of RXR Realty LLC (“RXR” or the “Company”) where he serves as Vice Chairman, General Counsel, and Secretary of the Company. RXR is a fully integrated, multi-billion dollar private real estate company which was formed subsequent to the merger of Reckson Associates Realty Corp (“Reckson”) (NYSE: RA) with SL Green, one of the largest public Real Estate management buyouts in REIT history. In this capacity, Mr. Barnett is involved in many aspects of the Company’s business. In addition to being responsible for all legal and compliance matters for the Company, Mr. Barnett is also responsible for overseeing the Company’s transactional activities as well as the Company’s corporate initiatives. Mr. Barnett is also a member of the Investment Committee of RXR.
Prior to the Reckson/SL Green merger, Mr. Barnett served as Senior Executive Vice President – Corporate Initiatives, General Counsel and Secretary where he was responsible for all legal matters and corporate initiative related matters and integrally involved in the structuring and execution of over $6 billion of acquisitions, financings and capital market transactions.
Since forming RXR in 2007, Mr. Barnett has been involved in over $4 billion of transactions building RXR into one of the New York Tri-State areas leading real estate companies comprised of over 100 properties and 19 million square feet.
Mr. Barnett is also the Senior Executive Vice President, General Counsel and member of the Board of Directors, of RNY Property Trust (ASX: RNY), a public real estate company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
Mr. Barnett has extensive experience with both the Public Company and Private Fund structures. Mr. Barnett is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on such topics as transaction structures, joint ventures, Real Estate capital markets and corporate and compliance related matters.
Prior to joining Reckson, Mr. Barnett practiced in the corporate and securities department of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, LLP, an international law firm, where he focused on Capital Markets and Real Estate Investment Trusts. He is a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, the Real Estate Board of New York and is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York.
Mr. Barnett serves as a Director, Trustee or Advisor for a number of community based organizations. Mr. Barnett earned a Bachelors of Arts from Clark University, attended the London School of Economics and earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. More about Mr Barnett.
Yasmin Dolatabadi Green (MSc 2004 Management)
Principal, Google Ideas
Yasmin Green is the Head of Strategy and Operations for Google Ideas. She also oversees the team’s work on counter-radicalization and fragile states. At Google, Yasmin has assumed roles as Head of Sales Strategy and Operations for Southern Europe, Middle East, and Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa Operations Manager, and prior to joining Google, she consulted for Booz Allen Hamilton across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Yasmin has extensive experience leading and project managing in some of the world’s toughest environments. She has spent time in Iran, Syria and Nigeria, where she has worked cross-functionally in sectors ranging from oil and gas to the Internet. She recently led a multi-partner coalition to launch Against Violent Extremism, the world's first online network of former violent extremists and survivors of terrorism.
She received her B.Sc. in Economics from University College London and her M.Sc. in Management from the London School of Economics and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Osman Khan (BSc 1996 Management Sciences)
Managing Director and Financial Services M&A Leader, Alvarez & Marsal
Mr. Khan brings more than 15 years of experience providing mergers and acquisitions due diligence and other advisory services to private equity and corporate investors in the financial services sector. He has been involved in numerous domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions, providing buy-side and sell-side due diligence expertise.
In addition, Mr. Khan brings more than eight years of experience in London and New York with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ banking and capital markets group. Mr. Khan led financial statement audits (for SEC-registrants and privately held institutions), Sarbanes-Oxley controls attestations, and many other operational and financial consulting projects. Charles Siegel (MSc 1997 European Studies)
Analyst, Forum Asset Management LLC
Mr Siegel is an analyst for the Forum Global Opportunities Fund. He has worked for over a decade in the emerging markets. Prior to joining Forum, he advised Emvest Asset Management, a South Africa-based emerging markets fund investing in real assets across Southern Africa, and worked in the Global Structuring and Global Markets Solutions Groups at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC. His responsibilities at Credit Suisse included emerging markets and energy portfolio management, structuring, and origination across corporate, project finance, and sovereign fixed income. He started his career as a FICC Summer Associate at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Siegel holds a B.A. in Classics from Yale University, a MS degree in Russian and Post-Soviet Studies from The London School of Economics, and a MPA in International Economics from Harvard University. He speaks French, German, and Spanish.
