AFLSE Careers/Networking Group and Career Resources

Summertime can be a transition period for many employees. AFLSE has resources to help alumni employers and job seekers.

Following are career resources available from AFLSE and LSE:

Participate in the AFLSE Careers/Networking Group

  • Join the Careers/Networking special interest group:  Alumni interested in receiving regular job announcements and networking opportunities, please join this group by logging into AFLSE, going to the group page at http://www.aflse.org/article.html?aid=656 and selecting the join group option.
  • Send in Job Postings:  The Careers/Networking group relies on alumni to provide notice of available job opportunities in their companies and communities. If your company is looking to hire, please send job description/application information to careernetworking@aflse.org.
  • Serve as a career contact for your company/industry:  We are also looking to put together a listing of volunteer AFLSE members who are willing to assist alumni seeking positions in their companies. If you are interested in serving as a career/networking point of contact for your company (or a company that you previously worked at but still have contact with) you should email careernetworking@aflse.org with your name, the name of your company, your email address, and your company's careers website if available.

Participate in the LSE mentoring program

The LSE's mentoring program is a unique forum where alumni mentors and mentees can connect. The program provides recent graduates and seasoned alumni an opportunity to network and learn from the experience of a mentor base, across various industry sectors. To become a mentor, simply follow this link to the Houghton Street Online web site and click "become a mentor:" http://www.alumni.lse.ac.uk/olc/pub/LHE/filemanager/mentoring/default.htm.

Take advantage of the LSE Careers Office resources
