John P.  Boles, William P. Hobby Professor of History, Rice University and Editor, Journal of Southern History will speak on
“Why England Loves the South”

 
John has just received the 2012 Gold Medal award from Rice Alumni.  Established in 1937, the Association of Rice Alumni’s laureates program recognizes the contributions and accomplishment of outstanding Rice Alumni and friends of the University
