Five years on from the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change there have been important changes in the world which are likely to have a profound impact on our response to the two defining challenges of the century; overcoming poverty and managing climate change. Nick Stern will discuss how we can respond to these challenges in the context of a special but difficult decade in the global economy.

About Nick Stern
Lord Stern is a cross-bench (non-party political) peer in the House of Lords, the author of The Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change, IG Patel Professor of Economics and Government, director of the India Observatory, and chairman of the Asia Research Centre and Chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment.

The Grantham Research Institute brings together international expertise on economics, finance, geography, international development and political economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
