LSE Alumnus Appointed General Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives

Kerry Kircher, a 1984 graduate of LSE and recipient of the AFLSE scholarship, was appointed by House Speaker John Boehner as General Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Mr. Kircher has served as General Counsel since January 5, 2011.  Previously, he served as Deputy General Counsel (July 1996 - Jan. 2011) and Senior Assistant Counsel (Nov. 1995 - July 1996) in the Office of the General Counsel.  He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1981. 

Mr. Kircher also holds an LL.M. in international law from the London School of Economics (1984), and an A.B. in history from Stanford University (1976).
